Teamsters Local 404 Host Massachusetts Senior Action Council Celebration of Social Security and Medicare

On July 28, 2010 at Teamsters Local 404 Headquarters Massachusetts Senior Action Council gathered to discuss Social Security and Medicare on how it has affected and helped so many and the funding challenges these programs face for the next generation of recipients, Chairman of the meeting and President of Mass Senior Action John W Bennett spoke to delegates along with several delegates in attendance. Professor Anita Dancs of Western New England College spoke on what the future holds concerning Social Security and Medicare. Social Security was signed into law by FDR, August 14, 1935 along with Medicare signed by LBJ, July 30, 1965.

Principal Officer Rossi of Teamsters Local 404 addressed the crowd of  approximately 50 in attendance about the need of these two benefits and that we all must fight to maintain these benefits for the next generation of recipients.
